A new academic session has begun on the 24th of August, 2011, at William and Mary. The college received more than 12,000 applications for its undergraduate courses. If the data of new students is analyzed one will find that this year the number of students has increased significantly; approximately 80 percent of its new students are in the top 10 percent pool of SAT.

The school management believes that this year’s students bring on campus diversity and qualifications that will add to the credibility of William and Mary as one of the top schools.

Almost all the programs in the college have seen a marked increased in the number of international students. Arts & science has students from 11 countries while the Law school has received applications from as many 60 different countries and the MBA program has candidates from 13 different countries.

The students at W&M are not only academically bright but have proved themselves in certain areas of interest. There are students who have worked in international locations serving the society. They are champions of sorts in their own domains in this young age.

There is a student, who has worked with orphans in Nicaragua, then there are three students who were part of the Peace Corps Alumni, and the list of candidates with illustrious academic and field work record adds to the W&M’s legacy.
